We advised a global mining group on its acquisition of exploration rights across several Zambian sites. Our work spanned regulatory structuring, SPV incorporation, licensing strategy, and full compliance with Zambian mining and corporate law. The transaction contributes directly to Zambia’s 2031 copper production target and represents a key foreign investment in greenfield exploration. The legal complexity of this matter required navigation of a rapidly evolving regulatory environment, including new rules on local ownership and state participation.
